A VISION BOARD

What is a vision board you may ask? Well It’s one of the best tools to materialize your wants. Literally, taking your thoughts and have them manifest in front of you. Who or What does the process between thought and materialization? some say God, some say energy, gravity, all different names of the same source.
In the Law of Attraction, one of the key opponents in using this Law is visualization. See your wants in your head play by play like a movie and feel the emotions you have. Consistent visualization with the joining of positive emotions brings about the experience. Consistent visualization with the joining of negative emotions brings about the experience. Do you see, the law of attraction does not understand “No.” It only brings about what you emit out into the world.

What is vision board do is funnels your wants into more direct specific things for you to dwell upon. When you wake up in the morning and see your dreams and wants you are constantly reminded and constantly put in the place of joy. Then…Boom!

How To Make A Vision Board.

1. Know what you want.
It’s important to know what you want. Like a catalog, pick anything and everything you want. At times,  like myself, freeze at this point when I found out it is just that easy. I immediately lowered my self esteem feeling undeserving of what I want, while also feeling like a kid whose parents told them to get any toy they want from Toys R US. So, maybe start small. A laptop. A bike. A blender and so on.

2. Buy a Board
Purchase a poster board with thumbtacks to rearrange, add, and replace new dreams with the accomplished ones. I used an art book with glue. I don’t have the freedom to rearrange, but I want my dreams and wants to be private, only downfall is that you may forget to open the book and visualize. A poster board forces you to see your dreams as soon as you awaken.

3. Print/cut out your dreams
Use vivid images. Colorful images from magazines or the internet. Before you place them on the board make sure you cut out any surrounding background. You want to be specific and clear as possible. Vivid colorful images makes your visualization much more enticing and direct.

4. Get Creative

If you want to use empowering quotes, use them. You want to overlap in a collage form, do it. It is your board, your dreams, your creation.  There is no wrong.  Have fun with this process and use this as a time to feel you having these things already. Use the “fake it till you make it” technique until you are so far convinced you obtained your desires. If it’s a bike, visualize riding the bike, the cold metal bars, the hardness of the seat, the place where you would take it for a spin. Daydream it and watch it unfold!

I first heard of this idea in the movie The Secret. John Assaraf, an entrepreneur,  explained how he manifested his million dollar home over he course of 5 years. Seems like a long time, but look how extensive and huge that dream is. Either way it worked for him and it worked for me too. It’s funny, because as I practice it I start to use it for minuscule things like getting in contact with someone without me taking the initiative.

It’s fun!

  1. An outstanding visual tool that allows you to see yourself and where you’re going AND what you’ve accomplished. Aaron and I use one to serve as our new year resolution collage for US! Great job, buddy! You’re so productive! 🙂
